Huskies are incredibly social, adventurous and curious dogs and thus as a husky owner you get used to having a shadow even in the dark, or a permanent attachment to your leg that’s always there. However, don’t be angry, there are many reasons why your husky follows you around, and more importantly there is many reasons why your husky follows you to the bathroom!

Your husky will always act like they are in a pack

Your husky believes it is in a pack and will always act as if this is the case. If training has gone correctly your husky will treat you as being tan alpha pack member and thus will want to follow you around and copy what you do. If you are to move into any room, including the toilet your husky is going to want to follow and copy, do as I do style!

Nosey & Curious

As far as your lovely husky knows you could be up to the most amazing activity or adventure ever and being the incredibly curious and adventurous dog they are they don’t want to miss out, even if this means following you to the toilet!

To Serve and Protect

Your husky may feel as if they owe you a favour and want to protect you, by following you to the toilet they are able to fulfil this, especially as you are at your most vulnerable whilst on the toilet.

Your Husky Just Loves You

It may be as simple as the fact your wonderful fur baby just loves and adores you, the simple fact of you moving out of their eye sight is enough to make them miss you and want to come find out where you are.

Separation Anxiety

If your husky is suffering from separation anxiety then this can be triggered by you moving into a different room, even if that room is the toilet! Your fur baby just wants to be by your side, normally because they fear being alone or abandoned as quite simply they don’t understand what’s going on.
